However, Democrats, as good citizens, buckled down and tried to make their peace with the rather obvious “fixing” and, while none of us liked “W” getting us into 2 wars simultaneously and letting Cheney and Rumsfeld run things, we put up with it for 8 long years. We did not storm the Capitol at any time, as the GOP faithful did on January 6th, and recruit thugs to take back the White House. You may say, perhaps we did not want it enough. We didn’t have a crystal ball that would show us what a shitty job “W” was going to do in office, ultimately culminating with the housing crisis which he deeded unto Obama, nor did we, at that time, realize just how costly in blood and treasure the seemingly never-ending wars in Iraq AND Afghanistan were going to be, but we know now.
