It’s a shame that this is still a thing, but I feel like people need annual reminders (just as I had to remind him) that blackface is tasteless and racist in all forms. To answer your question, DRESS as your favorite rapper. Come up with a clever costume and show off your creative side. Throw in added props if necessary. But DO NOT wear blackface. Not even a little bit. It’s just a line you shouldn’t cross. At best, you will get a few laughs, but the negative consequences are too great. Plus it just isn’t amusing.
