If anything, the Cat everything will kill you so choose something fun shirt and I will buy this election of Donald Trump exposed an absolute truth: Washington DC as currently constituted has a permanent political class that is corrupt, has its own agenda and will resist any and all attempts to dislodge it. DOJ doesn’t like new administration or new attorney general? No problem, just don’t follow orders or report back. President wants troops reduced in another country? No problem, lie to him, tell him it’s been done, and then leak your story to a corrupted media months after the guy is out of office about how you BS’d him. Unelected bureaucrats who obviously know better than you, your elected representatives…anybody, work behind the scenes every day. “This is the way we have always done things” . You hear that at your job too. Not going to change things just because he thinks he’s in charge, I couldn’t give a sh*t what his title is. Things don’t work in Washington because people don’t work in Washington. Disgruntled,…hey, get your feelings hurt and become a whistleblower because, reasons. You can even just say you didn’t like how it was done. You wrote talking points for the guy and he’s going off script, who the hell does this guy think he is, the president? That was an order, mister, read it the way I wrote it. Well, I guess you got your wish this time because this guy definitely needs his strings pulled by a third party. The deep state is real, and it’s not good when practiced by either side. If you take employment there you should take an oath, if you take an oath, you should live up to it. I feel I’m fairly patriotic, and for me that means being proud of the good things my country has accomplished and striving to fix the things in which we fall short. I know we’ve built something that has tremendous ability to be a force for change in the world, but also know we’ve used that power to royally f’ things up, both at home and abroad. We have massive potential, but we are often too lazy or deluded to fulfill it. We can never be ‘good enough’, there is always room for review and insight and improvement.
