God First Family Second Then Hawkeyes Tee Iowa Faith Christian Football Fan Shirt

Faith and fandom combined

This God First Family Second Then Hawkeyes tee is a black short-sleeve shirt that displays the phrase “God First Family Second Then Hawkeyes” alongside a distressed cross and Iowa logo. It is designed for faith-based shoppers who want to wear their spiritual priorities and team loyalty on one sleeve. The graphic places the cross at the center of the chest, with the text arranged in a rustic collegiate layout that reads clearly from a distance.

Design details

The design uses yellow and white lettering against a dark background to create high contrast and readability. A central distressed cross graphic anchors the composition, giving the shirt a worn, vintage feel without looking brand new or stiff. This rustic sporty faith-themed aesthetic blends college football energy with traditional Christian symbolism. The Iowa Hawkeyes logo sits within the layout, tying the sports element directly to the faith message.

Product specifications

This Black short-sleeve tee is made from standard cotton-blend fabric suitable for casual wear and game days. The design is applied using printed ink, which allows for the detailed shading seen in the distressed cross and lettering. The fit is regular, offering comfort for everyday activities or tailgating events. Care instructions typically recommend washing inside out in cold water to preserve the print quality over time.

What does “God First Family Second” mean?

It expresses a personal priority order where spiritual commitment comes before family obligations, followed by team loyalty. This phrase is a common statement among believers who view their relationship with God as the foundation for all other relationships. Adding “Then Hawkeyes” extends this hierarchy to include support for the University of Iowa football team, creating a specific niche identity for fans who share these values.

Is there a Bible verse about putting God first and family second?

While not a direct quote, the concept aligns with teachings on prioritizing one’s relationship with God above all else. Passages such as Matthew 10:37 discuss loving God more than family members, which serves as the scriptural basis for this sentiment. The shirt translates this theological principle into a modern, casual slogan that resonates with contemporary Christian culture and sports fandom.

Is this Hawkeyes tee officially licensed?

No, this is an independent fan-made design featuring generic Hawkeyes-inspired graphics and text. It is not produced by or affiliated with the University of Iowa or any official licensing body. Buyers should be aware that while it captures the spirit of Iowa football, it does not carry official NCAA or university certification marks.

Who is this shirt for?

Ideal for Iowa Hawkeyes supporters who also identify as Christians or value faith-first family dynamics. This apparel targets sports families who attend games together and wish to express their shared beliefs through clothing. It works well as a gift for parents, grandparents, or friends who balance their devotion to their church, their household, and their favorite college team.
