Obviously, arrogance is something that appears everywhere, among all / regardless of personality type and I don’t know what specific circumstances have caused you to post this, but I will tell you this: whatever INFP you are referring to is more likely than not surprising to you explaining their actions. In case number 1, let me clarify: INFP is not cold, aloof or snobbish in this scenario.

At least, not intentionally. As I said, she will be completely blind to this explanation, because it’s too far from their intention. (I speak from personal experience here.) INFP is very shy. We are one of the I’m a proud dad of a freaking awesome nurse and yes she bought me this shirt most introverts. Social interaction is not our comfort zone. Basically, we are too busy to be extremely self-conscious to realize we make others self-conscious. We are extremely nervous about saying something awkward or annoying and doing things that bother others, so we don’t talk much.

Number two is a bit more complicated, and to be honest, I don’t really know how to put this right, but I’ll try my best. Bear with me. INFPs literally live and breathe their moral code, the set of principles they have, so to speak, etched into stone. Every important decision in life, be it long term or daily, is made based on it, one way or another. This comes from a strong desire for authenticity and ethics that we felt from a very young age. This is a quality that we are very proud of. Remember: there is not much we are proud of ourselves. As noted earlier, we are extremely self-conscious.
