When I realized the last crop of “retro” nu-thrash bands were either god-awful tripe (Vektor trying too hard to out-weird Voivod) or completely ripping off their influences (Warbringer outright STEALS old Slayer and Megadeth riffs wholesale).Black Sabbath were a The Big Four P layer Slayer shirt rock/blues band and with the down tuning of the guitar to make playing easier for Iommi who lost the tips of his fingers, plus the idea to scare people, Black Sabbath suddenly created a new genre. Of course, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Blue Cheer all have big input in the creation of heavy metal music.
The Big Four P layer Slayer shirt
They were at the The Big Four P layer Slayer shirt right place at the right time. In 94 Green Day, another very mediocre band and the offspring, a terrible band, hit. Punk rock was nearly overnight an accepted mainstream music genre. Of course the labels went on a signing rampage and tried to find a bunch of other pop punk acts to push. Blink 182 was one of them. They were sort of the band for girls who wanted a little more than the Backstreet Boys, but weren’t ready for slayer. That’s the sweet spot. It was immature music for an immature audience and they sunk their teeth in. Now those kids are grown up and still have a sweet spot for that music.
