You Used to Be My Type Then I Got Help Tee, Funny Therapy Humor Shirt, Sarcastic Mental Health Gift

You Used to Be My Type Then I Got Help Tee

This You used to be my type then I got help tee is a white cotton shirt with the slogan printed in raised red varsity puff lettering, stacked in five block-letter lines across the chest. Shoppers who want a funny therapy shirt pick this one because the joke is specific: therapy worked, and the old type no longer applies. It also works as a sarcastic mental health gift for the friend who narrates their healing era out loud.

Design and print details

This varsity puff print graphic tee gets its look from bold red block letters on a soft white cotton tee, printed exactly as shown with no editable text. The oversized crewneck cut gives the slogan room to read from across a room.

• Bold red puff print in block letters, stacked in five varsity-style lines across the chest
• Raised finish you can feel, so the lettering sits above the fabric instead of flat on it
• Oversized white crewneck silhouette as shown in the product photos
• Soft cotton tee base that keeps its shape through regular wear
• One fixed therapy joke design: there are no personalization fields on this shirt

Product specs

This white cotton tee ships as a single t-shirt with the puff print graphic already applied, matching the photos in this listing. The spec list stays short because the design is fixed.

• Color: white with red raised lettering on the chest
• Fit: oversized crewneck as shown in the photos
• Print: raised red puff-print slogan across the chest
• What you get: one tee only. The photos show the t-shirt blank, not a hoodie or sweatshirt

Gift occasions for this therapy humor shirt

This tee is the gift you buy when the recipient already has enough candles and mugs: it lands as a therapy graduation gift, a birthday gift, or a funny ex gift depending on the moment you are marking.

• Therapy graduation gift: for someone finishing treatment or closing out a program, humor beats a plaque
• Birthday gift: for the friend who loves mental health jokes and already owns five sarcastic tees
• Funny ex gift or breakup humor: a dry laugh for anyone officially moving on
• Holiday gift shopping: September 2026 is here, so orders placed now and through the fall leave time for wrapping before the holidays

What does the slogan You used to be my type then I got help mean?

The “used to be” meaning has two layers. On the surface, the wearer is telling an ex they no longer match their dating type. The deeper layer is the therapy joke: self awareness changed what that type even is, so the old criteria no longer qualify. It is sarcastic therapy humor with a growth arc built in.

Is this tee true to size?

The fit is the oversized crewneck drape you see in the photos. Order your usual size for that relaxed look, or size up if you want extra room through the body and sleeves. Check the size chart before checkout so your measurements match the size you pick.

Who is this funny therapy shirt a good gift for?

It works as a therapy graduation gift for someone finishing a program, a present for friends who trade mental health jokes in the group chat, and an easy pick for coworkers who wear sarcastic tees on casual days. It also covers the funny ex gift lane when you want the breakup joke to stay light rather than bitter. Anyone who laughs hardest at therapy humor will actually wear this one.

Can I machine wash this puff print tee?

Yes. Machine wash cold, inside out, and tumble dry low to protect the raised red lettering. The inside-out cycle keeps the puff print from rubbing against other clothes, which is standard care for any raised graphic. Skip ironing directly over the print.

Are there other colors available?

Color options appear on the product page next to the size selector. The photos in this listing show the white tee with red puff print, and that is the exact version described throughout this page. If you pick a different color, double check the option details before checkout.
